The 10th Anniversary of PT Hino Finance Indonesia

Since its establishment in 2014, PT Hino Finance Indonesia has continued to strive to realize its commitment as a Good Corporate Citizen for the surrounding environment through various activities carried out during the past ten years.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, PT Hino Finance Indonesia would like to look back at its long journey from its inception until now. Check out the full review here!

2014

PT Hino Finance Indonesia or HFI was established on 11 July 2014, during Indonesia’s festival of democracy. It was formed by a joint venture agreement between Hino Motors Ltd., PT Indomobil Multi Jasa Tbk., and Summit Global Auto Management B.V.

PT Nusantara Trans Sejahtera was the first client of HFI, and PT Indomobil Prima Niaga was the first dealer cooperating with HFI. In 2014, HFI obtained permission from OJK (Financial Services Authority) to become a financial service company.

2015

Aligning with the opening of the toll road of Cikopo–Palimanan as the connecting line between West Java and East Java, HFI took the opportunity to open branch offices in Jakarta and Surabaya in 2015 to expand its business network.

2016–2018

Committed to providing customers with excellent service, HFI expanded its business network to big cities in 2016. That includes the Java and Sumatra areas: Tangerang, Bandung, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Lampung, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Medan, and another branch office opening in Jambi.

2019

In 2019, the 5G network was commercially launched all over the world. By optimizing the technology, HFI launched a digital application called “Hino in The Box”. This application was to help customers get services and information on financing.

2020

President Joko Widodo officially conducted “Large-scale Social Restrictions” or “PSBB” on 31 March 2020. This decree affected business activities nationally. In response to this decree, HFI quickly changed its working method to hybrid while still implementing the health protocols.

Difficult economic conditions did not discourage HFI from being present in serving every customer’s request and listening to their needs faithfully. By maintaining this consistency, HFI earned a AAA rating from Fitch Rating Indonesia.

2021

The pandemic did not end in 2020, and adjustments were made by closely monitoring and following the government's advice. Even in the pandemic situation, HFI successfully extended its sales area to Makassar City and achieved the targeted profit.

This achievement was due to excellent operational coordination, perfect policy implementation, and tenacious sales endeavors from HFI, which reached Eastern Indonesia.

2022

In 2022, HFI collaborated with all partner dealers in Indonesia for Moto GP Mandalika. This year, “Simple Innovative Accountable Preferred” or #SIAP was launched on HFI’s official website to help small businesses apply for financing facilities.

HFI also participated in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the biggest automotive exhibition in Indonesia. At the same time, HFI released Euro4 products, which were stronger, more economical, and more environmentally friendly.

2023

In 2023, HFI’s customers had grown to 2,100, financing more than 4,000 units. Most excitingly, this year, HFI once again received an award, “Top 20 Financial Institutions” from The Finance Magazine.

Various events, such as Employee Edu Trip, HFI Culture Building, and Halal Bihalal, were held this year. HFI also participated in environmental preservation by engaging in tree plantation and ecotourism in several conservation areas in Indonesia. There was also Customer Day and Customer Trip this year.

2024

In 2024, Kendari Satellite was launched to strengthen its operational network in Eastern Indonesia, mainly in Sulawesi. In addition, in the pursuit of becoming the issuer of sustainable bonds, HFI issued Obligation III in 2024.

Within a decade, HFI has become a pioneer and developed into one of the best financial service companies in Indonesia. HFI also commits itself to providing the best services for customers, employees, and all stakeholders in terms of sustainable living.
