[[CSR ACTIVITY] - CELEBRATING 10th ANNIVERSARY, HINO FINANCE INDONESIA PLANTS 3,000 TREES IN TANJUNG BENOA, BALI
Jakarta, 23 May 23 2024 - Starting a series of events to welcome its 10th anniversary, PT Hino Finance Indonesia ("the Company") carried out an activity to plant 3,412 mangrove trees in Tanjung Benoa, Bali, which was attended by the Company's Board of Directors, management and employees.
The tree planting activity is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that is routinely carried out by the Company. This activity is a concrete manifestation of the Company's response to climate change, as well as the Company's sustainability program.
In his remarks, Mr. Hajime Kawamura as President Director of the Company stated that the CSR event this time was felt to be more special, because it was one of the activities to welcome the Company's anniversary and Bali Island was chosen as the location for the tree planting activity because the Company wanted to contribute to where employee events were held.
"So it's not just to increase the sense of togetherness between employees, but it also increases the sense of concern for the surrounding environment," said Mr. Kawamura.
Carrying the theme "Forests for Future Skies", the Company hopes that planting mangrove seedlings, which can naturally increase oxygen production, can provide clean air and blue skies for Indonesia. This activity is designed to show how responsible actions towards nature can be in line with economic benefits, create harmony between humans and their habitat, and ensure prosperity and sustainability for future generations.
The activity was also attended by LindungiHutan as the Company's partner in tree planting activities, volunteers from Udayana University students, and the fishermen group "Balaram Pulatu Pudut Tanjung Benoa" who helped with the overall tree planting process.
