[CSR ACTIVITY] – TO GROW GREENER WITH HINO FINANCE BRANCH LAMPUNG
Lampung, 4 July 2023 - PT Hino Finance Indonesia (the “Company”) continues its sustainable greening program by planting Laban trees in Way Kambas National Park, Lampung. Way Kambas National Park is both a tourist destination and a conservation area that must be preserved.
Laban trees are useful for protecting the land from erosion, reforestation and improving forest ecosystems. The tree planting was carried out by the Braja Harjosari Forest Farmers Group by planting 1,200 Laban trees in the Way Kambas National Park Buffer Village supported by the Company and LindungiHutan.
Braja Harjosari Village is one of the supporting villages for Way Kambas National Park in Braja Selebah District, East Lampung Regency. The Braja Harjosari Village community participates in the management of the Way Kambas National Park Area by participating in a community-based ecosystem restoration conservation partnership using the arboretum method.
The Company hopes that this tree planting activity can help preserve forests and the environment, reduce carbon emissions and greenhouse gases and can improve people's lives by increasing the income of farmer partners in the tree planting area.
The greening program is one of the Company's concrete steps in supporting the success of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.
